The 1985 men’s basketball team completed the season with a 23-7 overall record. The team earned the Mayflower Conference Title and the NAIA District V Championship, which brought with it a right to participate in the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri. The Spartans were the first team from Vermont to make an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in its 48-year history. The men’s basketball team established a home-winning streak of 21 games.
