CASTLETON, Vt. – With new jerseys slated to be worn starting in the 2017 season, the Castleton football program is inviting its alumni, fans, and community members to bid on game-worn Spartan football jerseys, with the proceeds benefitting the football team.
By visiting http://www.castletonsports.com/marketplace/auctions/featured, interested bidders can choose from a list of 288 jerseys, with close to every number from 1 to 99 available in either white or green. The size of each jersey is listed in the title of the item, with sizes ranging from medium to 3XL.
The minimum bid accepted into the system is $50, and the auction is open until Friday, July 21, at 5 p.m. There will be a $7 shipping and handling charge added to all final bids, and only addresses within the United States can be entered as part of the process.
Money raised from this jersey auction will go towards the football program. Castleton opens the 2017 season at Plymouth State Saturday, Sept. 2, with the home opener one week later against Fitchburg State under the lights at Spartan Stadium.
