Second Round of Castleton Football Jersey Auction Underway

Second Round of Castleton Football Jersey Auction Underway

CASTLETON, Vt. – With the 2017 season approaching, the Castleton football program once again invites its alumni, fans, and community members to bid on game-worn Spartan football jerseys, with the proceeds benefitting the football team.

By visiting, interested bidders can choose from a list of 220 jerseys, with many numbers from 1 to 99 available in either white or green. The size of each jersey is listed in the title of the item, with sizes ranging from medium to 3XL.

Castleton head football coach Tony Volpone is appreciative of the support his program received during the first auction over the summer and wanted to give those who missed the previous period due to vacation or other commitments a chance to bid on the remaining jerseys.

The minimum bid accepted into the system is $50, and the auction is open until kickoff of the home opener against Fitchburg State – Saturday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. There will be a $7 shipping and handling charge added to all final bids, and only addresses within the United States can be entered as part of the process.

Money raised from this jersey auction will go towards the football program. Castleton opens the 2017 season at Plymouth State Saturday, Sept. 2, starting at 1 p.m.
