Middlebury, Vt. - Castleton received a strong finish from freshman Zac Temple to place 17th as a team at the Duke Nelson Invitational this weekend, held at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College.
Temple finished tied for 13th overall after shooting a two-day total of 149. The freshman shot a 74 on Saturday and followed it up with a 75 on Sunday. Junior Daniel Hogan was right behind him after day one with a 76, but shot an 82 on Sunday to finish tied for 54th with a 158.
Sophomore Jack Rolbovsky was third among the Spartans with a two-day total of 164 to place 78th overall. Justin Del Bianco was fourth on the team with a 170 while Kyle Osborne finished with a 177 over 36 holes.
Middlebury won the event by shooting a 596, just one shot ahead of second place Clarkson. Williams was third with a team total of 599.
Castleton is back in action next weekend at the Williams Invitational.
