Men's Hockey Lands 14 on NEHC All-Academic Team

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – 14 members of the Castleton University men's ice hockey team were named to the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) All-Academic team, announced Thursday by the league office.

Seniors Kurt Johnson, Ryan Mulder, Trevor Hanna, Brody Wagner, Nathan Cory, and Ryan O'Toole were each recognized for the third time in their careers. Senior Ryan O'Malley and juniors Caleb Fizer, Dan Fitzgerald, and Wyatt Pickrell earned the honor for the second time, while sophomores Brian Leonard, Jacob Erwin, Mark Shroyer, and Troy Taylor were named to the All-Academic team for the first time.

To be eligible for All-Academic recognition a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full year at their current institution. Each of the eight NEHC institutions were represented with 112 student-athletes in total earning the honor. All eight institutions saw double-digit honorees.
