Castleton, Vt. – After an impressive sophomore campaign, Zach Davidson was one of just 13 players selected to the ECAC Division III Men's Lacrosse New England All-Star Team on Thursday.
Davidson makes his first appearance on the team and is just one of two sophomores, along with Tufts' Cole Bailey. Ryon Lynch of Springfield was named the Offensive Player of the Year. He was one of two North Atlantic Conference players be honored, as New England College's Pat Miles made it as a Longstick Midfielder.
This year Davidson earned NAC Player of the Year honors after leading the conference in points (111) and assists (61) and finishing first on the team with 50 goals. His 111 points are currently second in all of Division III, as are his 61 assists. This year he also led Castleton to the NAC Championship, as well as the program-record 15 victories.
Davidson's 111 points are a single-season school record as are his 61 assists. His 98 career assists are program record and his 198 career points place him second in school history.
