Castleton Nordic Competes in Open Event at Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – The Castleton University Nordic ski teams headed east to compete in open events Saturday at the Dartmouth Carnival, hosted by the Big Green at the Dartmouth Cross Country Ski Center at Oak Hill.

In the women's open race, Megan Greene posted the fastest time among the competing Spartans, finishing the five-kilometer event with a mark of 17:22.60. Kaylyn Crompton was next for Castleton, completing the course in 20:52.50, just ahead of Adrienne Toof in 20:55.90.

On the men's side, Devin Perry posted the quickest mark for the Spartans, completing the 10-kilometer event with a time of 32:09.10. David Harvey ended up with a time of 35:41.0, followed by Jared Wheeler in 38:37.10 and Thomas Rizza in 43:28.50.

Castleton heads back to Lake Placid, N.Y., for the Mansfield Division Championships next Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17-18.
