Beauregard Named NAC Co-Track Athlete of the Week

WATERVILLE, Maine – After enjoying a strong performance at the Jerry Gravel Classic over the weekend, Austin Beauregard of the Castleton University men's track and field team has been named North Atlantic Conference Co-Track Athlete of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.

Beauregard highlighted the Spartans on the track, as he clocked in at 16.40 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles to qualify for the New England Division III Championships and place fourth overall. The junior nearly set a new personal-best mark in the 400-meter hurdles and was also a member of the 4x100 relay team that posted a new program pace with a time of 45.55 seconds to place sixth. In all, Beauregard accounted for nine points as the Spartans took seventh place overall at the meet. With his mark in the 110-meter hurdles, Beauregard currently ranks 27th in New England.

This is the first weekly honor of the season for Beauregard, who joins teammates Brodie Talbot and Tayler Larmie as a regional qualifier. To read the full NAC weekly awards release, click here.
