PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Castleton University women's basketball standout Brooke Raiche was named First Team All-Little East Conference, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
The sophomore ranked second in the LEC in scoring on the season, pouring in 16.6 points per game while sitting sixth in the league in both three-point and free-throw percentage. She knocked down threes at a 33.0 percent rate while making 75.7 percent of her attempts at the free-throw line on the season. She posted nine games of 20 or more points on the season with a pair of 30-point outings for the Spartans.
Raiche also ranked among the LEC's top-15 in rebounding, hauling in 5.3 boards per game. She added 36 steals and 12 blocks on the season defensively, while routinely guarding the opposition's top player.
The Ira, Vt., native was honored twice as LEC Player of the Week this season, and was named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year a season ago.
UMass-Dartmouth's Nakira Examond earned Player of the Year honors, while her head coach—Matt Ducharme—was named Coach of the Year. Ornela Livramento of Rhode Island College was named Defensive Player of the Year, and teammate Willcia McBorrough earned Rookie of the Year accolades.
