CASTLETON, Vt. – Castleton University head women's lacrosse coach Allyson Baribault announced her resignation from the position Monday. Baribault plans to move closer to family.
This past season, she helped usher the women's lacrosse program into the Little East Conference, guiding Castleton to an LEC Tournament berth as the No. 6 seed. The Spartans posted a 6-12 record on the year and a 2-5 mark in LEC play, while Megan Wood and Erin McKenna earned First Team All-LEC recognition under her leadership.
"I want to thank Allyson for her time at Castleton and all that she did for the program in her time here," said Associate Dean for Athletics and Recreation, Deanna Tyson. "We wish her nothing but the best in her career as she moves forward."
A search for a new women's lacrosse head coach will begin immediately.
