WILSON, Wyo. – Racing to her third top 10 performance of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association's National Championships, Megan Green earned All-America recognition for the third time on Friday afternoon at the Trail Creek Nordic Center.
Greene turned in a strong and consistent performance in the 15-kilometer freestyle, racing the six laps in a time of 45:54 for ninth place. Starting with the third bib, she crossed the line less than a second behind the eighth-place skier.
The next four Spartan skiers came across in pairs as Molly O'Callaghan (48:54.3) and Emily Greene (49:08.9) finished in 22nd and 23rd. Just a few racers later, Adi Toof (51:57.5) and Kaylyn Crompton (51:59.20) both finished inside the top 30. Rounding out the Spartan skiers, Emily Cromie recorded a 39th-place finish with a 56:27.80 time.
In the team scoring, Castleton placed fifth with 47 team points. In first, St. Olaf College notched 11 points, while Clarkson University was second with 15. The University of Wyoming (36) and Colorado Mesa University (37) placed third and fourth, respectively.
Women's nordic returns to the course for the final day of USCSA Nationals competition on Saturday as they race in the classic team sprint.
