SEAFORD, N.Y. – The Castleton University women's rugby team broke through on the scoreboard for the first time this season in a road contest, but it was not enough as Molloy College picked up a 57-5 victory Saturday afternoon at Cedar Creek Park.
The game was scoreless through most of the first half until Molloy's Jericka Ruiz scored the first of her three tries with 14:14 remaining before halftime. Elizabeth Kaminski picked up a try and a conversion, and then Ruiz scored again as time ran out in the first half to give the Lions a 17-0 halftime lead.
