CASTLETON, Vt. – The Castleton University women's rugby team completes a stretch of four straight road matches this Saturday, Oct. 15, when it heads to Brunswick, Maine, to face the Bowdoin College Polar Bears starting at 11 a.m. at Pickard Rugby Field.
Castleton is coming off a 57-5 loss at Molloy College last Saturday, its sixth loss of the season. Casey Comeau, Kayleigh Daniels, Savanah Graves, and Taylor Keramis have all scored one try apiece for the Spartans this season, with Keramis's score last weekend becoming the first road tally for Castleton in its inaugural NCAA varsity season. Katie Campbell has also scored five points for the Spartans thanks to a conversion kick and a penalty kick.
Bowdoin is currently 2-1 overall and in the middle of a six-match stretch at home, facing both Castleton and Middlebury this Saturday. The Polar Bears are coming off a 31-15 loss to University of New England last Friday after wins at Molloy (57-17) and against St. Michael's (33-25). Georgia Bolduc, Juliette Dankens, and Paige Pfannenstiel all scored tries for Bowdon last week against UNE.
After Saturday's match, Castleton will play its final two contests at home against Quinnipiac Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. and against University of New England Saturday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m.
