CASTLETON, Vt. – The Castleton women's tennis program is set to host Homecoming Weekend with back-to-back home games versus Bay Path and SUNY Plattsburgh.
The Spartans are off to a 3-2 start, including 1-1 in the North Atlantic Conference, with its most recent game resulting in a loss to defending NAC Champions Colby-Sawyer Chargers.
Ciara Bannister and Megan Nadler come in with an impressive 4-1 record in doubles action, while Kirsten Kruk and Kayla Zsido have gone 3-2 in second-flight. Both groups are 1-1 in conference play. Following Saturday's matchup, the Spartans will hit the road to take on the SUNY Plattsburgh Cardinals in another non-conference matchup on Sunday. The Cardinals are 5-4 on the season and 1-1 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
Sunday's matchup will be the first of a four-game roadtrip for Castleton. The Spartans will be away from home until Sept. 28, when they will return to host Lyndon State in a NEAC East contest. The game at Plattsburgh State on Sunday is slated for a 1 p.m. starting time.
