Castleton, Vt. – Sophomore Brittany Brayman helped the Spartans secure the third seed in the upcoming conference tournament with her effort last weekend, and today was honored as the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week.
Brayman was Castleton's most consistent performer as the Spartans went 1-2 last week, averaging 6.0 digs, 2.0 kills and .44 aces per set. The sophomore had her best game of the week in Castleton's 3-0 win over Husson, firing six kills and setting a career high with 25 digs in just three sets. Against Maine Maritime she proved to be a two-way threat with five kills, 16 digs and three total blocks.
Brayman has earned NAC Rookie of the Week honors twice this year. The Spartans return to action on Wednesday when they travel to face Norwich at 6 pm.
