Rutland, Vt. – The Spartans kept up their perfect start to the season, making quick work of conference foe Johnson St. in a 9-0 victory on Saturday at Grand Slam Tennis in Rutland.
Castleton didn't give up a point in doubles, winning all three by an 8-0 final. Mike Glasser and Adam McCaffrey teamed up at No. 1 while Zac Conlogue and Sam Levine played at No. 2. The duo of Mike Divis and Corey Kimball recorded the win at No. 3.
In singles, McCaffrey (No. 3), Divis (No. 4) and Matt Trombley (No. 6) each won by an impressive 6-0, 6-0 score. Levine earned a 6-3, 6-3 straight win at No. 1 while Glasser won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.
Castleton now faces defending conference champion Colby-Sawyer on Sunday at 1 pm.
