Bruce Moreton is in his 19th season as the men's tennis coach at Castleton.

The Spartans put together their sixth straight winning season in 2018 at 7-6 overall and once again qualified for the NAC Tournament. In addition, Trevor Hanna received Third Team Academic All-America honors, while Ryan Mulder earned a spot on the Google Cloud Academic All-District I At-Large Team. 

During the 2017 campaign, Castleton went 9-4 overall, including 4-2 within the North Atlantic Conference, and advanced to the NAC Tournament. Three players earned All-NAC honors, led by Seth Marcil, who received First Team All-NAC in singles, Second Team All-NAC in doubles, and a spot on the NAC Sportsmanship Team. 

In 2016, his Spartans went 11-4 and reached the conference championship game once again. Four Spartans earned all-conference honors, led by Kevin Rosset and Seth Marcil on the first team. The team also earned two non-conference wins over Norwich before concluding conference play with a 4-2 mark.

Castleton has posted a winning record in 11 of the last 12 seasons, including the past five in a row. During Moreton's tenure, the Spartans have captured seven North Atlantic Conference Championships and compiled a 139-85 (.621) mark. He led the program to six straight titles from 2006-2011 and has coached a pair of NAC Player of the Year honorees and three Rookie of the Year honorees. 

Moreton spent 24 years as a coach at the high school level, posting a 101-22 record at Cathedral High in Natchez, Miss. He also captured seven state championships and was runner-up another six seasons. Addiontally he won three conference titles and two district championships coaching for Hendersonville High in North Carolina.

Coach Moreton, a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, grew up in Natchez, Mississippi, and has coached high school championship teams and nationally ranked players in Mississippi and in North Carolina.

He currently is the English department chairman at Mill River High School and resides in North Chittenden, VT, with his wife, Kelly, and their two sons, Wyatt and Tripp.
